Eligibility

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ELIGIBILITY
​The following are eligible to participate in the National Championships.
  • Qatar passport holders
  • Qatar mission (so-called 'sport') passport holders
NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPIONSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Those entering the elite race will be assigned a UCI licence.
Those who do not register before the closing date will not appear on the official UCI start list and be ineligible to be National Champion and feature in the official UCI results.
IMPORTANT: UCI Licence holders are inelligible to compete in non-elite categories of any Qatar National Championships and other UCI non-elite events such as the UCI Gran Fondo series. UCI licence expiry 31 Dec 2022.

OPEN (EXPAT) CHAMPIONSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Riders of any nationality are eligible for the open races

Registration & Fees

  • Pre-entry only
  • Entries close at 8:00am, two days before race day. This is in order to provide the official start list to the UCI
  • There is no entry on the day and you may not use another rider's entry

ATTACHING A TIMING TRANSPONDER
We use chip timing to produce results. Your chip must be attached correctly to guarantee that you will get a time and placing.​
NUMBER PLACEMENT
  • Numbers must be pinned on your back at the bottom of your shirt
  • If placed higher they cannot be read by officials and you may be penalised
At the sign-on desk, you sign your name to confirm your attendance, pay any outstanding fees if necessary and collect a timing transponder and number. Please return BOTH at the end of your race.

TO MAKE EVERYTHING WORK SMOOTHLY
  • Know your race number by checking the startlist
  • Collect your own number and timing chip
  • Have your QCF licence or photo ID ready as deposit for your timing chip

Awards

Qatar Cycling Federation is delighted to have the support of The Masters Medical Center for the National Road  Championships. They have put up a cash prize purse of 50,000 QAR for the National Championship races.
Sports Corner and Rasen Adventure Shop always play a big part in cycling and these National Championships are no exception. Prize winners in other categories will recieve vouchers.
The organisers reserve the right to adjust prize values at any time. Categories may be cancelled or combined in the case that the number of participants is three or below.
